My name is Lehneah Sorkin and I founded Camano Island Sourdough Co to share healthy, delicious, naturally fermented bread and baked goods with my community. After working in a bakery through my early 20s, I started baking sourdough as a hobby in the hopes of finding a healthier alternative to bread and baked goods for my family - including my mom, who has a gluten sensitivity. Thanks to sourdough, she can eat bread again! Over the past 10+ years, I have perfected my process and am happy to be able to turn my passion into a business. Camano Island Sourdough Company is a family-run cottage bakery nestled on beautiful Camano Island. I specialize in small-batch sourdough baked goods—both savory and sweet—made with my 100+ year-old Seattle sourdough starter with a legacy as rich as its flavor.
